Pictures from Band Camp - Order Form Now Available!

The order form for Band Pictures is now available. Sample photos are on display in the Band Room. Photos should be selected and payment returned to Mr. Marra or LGHSMB, PO box 1638, Los Gatos, CA 95031, before October 8th.

REMINDER: First Mandatory Music Booster Meeting is moved to September 14th, 7PM, LGHS Library!

Fees due Sep 3 -- we can't do it without your contribution!

Reminder: your band and orchestra fees are due this Friday, September 3! Many families have already completed payment. Thank you very much! If you have not yet completed your payment, please make checks payable to LGHS Music Boosters, and send payment to:

Music Director Office hours June 14th

Mr. Marra has announced some office hours on the afternoon of June 14th. For more information, please go to http://lghsmusic.net/?q=node/951 or check the Calendar.

Note that Mr. Marra has requested different groups show up at different times--first Student Leadership, then Student drop-in, then parent drop-in, and finally a meeting of the Percussion team with our new lead Percussion instructor.

Italy 2010: Update for Saturday morning PDT/Saturday afternoon CET

Unfortunately there have been no flights available out of the Munich airport today, so our travelers have remained at the Holiday Inn and will do so this evening as well. About half of the group took a walking tour of Munich, while the other half opted to stay at the hotel and have a down day. The tour operator is looking into the possibility of a trip to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle for tomorrow, should the airport remain closed.

Italy 2010: Update for Friday evening PDT/Saturday morning CET

It is now morning in Munich and our travelers are having breakfast. The Munich airport remains closed, although there is a rumor that it may open at 2:00 or 5:00 this afternoon. The group intends to stay put at the hotel until there is some reason to go to the airport. The hotel is very comfortable and the food is good!

As I sent out earlier, you can contact your travelers directly at their rooms, although now that it is daytime, they may not be in their rooms. There is a swimming pool at the hotel, a workout room, and laundry facilities.

Italy 2010 -- trip return delayed by volcanic eruption!

By now you know about the volcanic eruption in Iceland and how it's stranded travelers all across the world. Unfortunately our musicians are part of that group.

The students, adults, chaperones and related families are all together, in Munich, and are being taken care of by Lufthansa. They will be staying at a Holiday Inn about 40 min from the airport tonight, and returning to the Munich airport in the morning--hopefully to board flights home!
